Femina HIP in Tanzania, together with Soul City and Compass Communications, has been working on an educational drama about couples facing conflict, communicating and making tough choices about sex and relationships.
The film project has been in development for a year, as one part of a ten part series of short films, with each film originating from one of 10 different countries in Southern Africa. The theme tying all the films together is the One Love campaign.
Bwana Ishi and Tuli, the characters of the OneLove vignette, will feature in the film, bringing the flavour they’re known for.
Femina HP also has plans to publish a OneLove booklet for couples about partner communication.
Tanzania, which launched its campaign in October 2008, was the first country in the region to launch an in-country campaign.
