Abandon polygamy or allow women to have numerous husbands and boyfriends, the Congress of the People Women’s Movement said, reports the Independent Online.
“COPE Women’s Movement believes that polygamy must be abandoned by all progressive and right-thinking men, or alternatively that women should also be allowed to have numerous husbands and boyfriends,” said COPE Women’s Movement Ethekwini secretary Nosiphiwo Mdlaka.This was after media reports alleged that South African President Jacob Zuma’s wife Nompumelelo MaNtuli Zuma had an affair with her bodyguard who later died.
Zuma is currently married to three women.
