South African acting director-general of Health Dr Yogan Pillay says there is no scientific intervention that can discourage people from having multiple partners, a habit which increases the possibility of contracting HIV/Aids, reports Sowetan.
“We must reduce the number of sexual partners that we have. Multiple sexual partners is something we must tackle with much vigour.”
“There is no medical intervention, there is no technical intervention. This a social challenge. Concurrent with that we must encourage condom use,” said Pillay.
