Pakachere Institute for Health and Development Communication, the OneLove partner in Malwi, is to launch “Love – Stories in a time of HIV & AIDS” on Thursday at Mount Soche Hotel , says The BNL Times.
The film series is made up pf 10 short films for TV from 10 countries in southern Africa. The countries are Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
Pakachere executive director Simon Sikwese says each half hour film depicts a slice of life. “The films speak of love and desire, secrets and lies in a time of HIV/Aids. In one of the films a woman is tired of duty and is trapped in a loveless marriage. In another, a traditional wedding day goes horribly wrong,” he says.
The short film that was developed by Malawi partners is called “After the Honeymoon,” and follows the story of a a couple which returns from a disastrous honeymoon and struggle with communicating about their sex life, Sikwese said.
