Nweti, the OneLove campaign partner in Mozambique, launched the short film Traídos pela Traição – Betrayed, in Maputo as part of the Love – Stories in a time of HIV & AIDS series on July 26th.
The event brought together around 300 people, who included representatives from UN agencies, donors and the National Aids Council, as well as from the Soul City Institute.
The 10 films of the Love Stories series have started being broadcasted in 4 Mozambican TV channels.
The launch of the film and the series was also marked by some entertainment, such as humour and folk dance.
What Traídos pela Traição is about
Traídos pela Traição tells the story of Sandra and André, a young couple who despite their shared love, ends up cheating on each other. But both understand that in reality all they need to be happy is one another.
Sandra and André decide to be honest about their infidelities and start over on a new page. Will they be able to do this?

Besides the short film, N’weti is also producing a public service announcement (PSA) about multiple concurrent partnerships as part of the OneLove campaign in Mozamabique.
This PSA will support the messages being spread by the films and to increase the understanding among communities that having multiple concurrent partnerships increases the risk of getting HIV.
Nweti is also developing a radio magazine programmme about multiple concurrent partnerships.
