Our of ideas to raise HIV awareness in your community? Why not spice up something fun like a party, with some useful info and maybe even condom distribution?
Peer educators at the University of Free State Qwaqwa campus in South Africa recently did just that. They hosted a HIV awareness event, giving out condoms at a cash wash bash.
Many thanks to Perseverence Mahakoe for posting a photo from the event.
We would also like to urge other people who have hosted/attended OneLove events to send up photos or a short report on the event.

While i agree with the idea of onelove campaign, i somehow think that this ideas can as well promote promiscious behaviours, i feel that at a party there is alchohol factor which we are all aware that its one of the key factors contributing to people engaging in MCP. i think by issuing condoms at a party we are indirectly insinuating that people start thinking about having sex sometimes with people who are not their regular partners.
@itumeleng – I’m going to pose the issue you raise – whether giving people condoms at parties is giving them permission to be promiscuous – to to our readers on the web site. It would be interesting to hear what they think.
