The 10-country research on multiple concurrent partners has found that many adults are not faithful to one sexual partner because they do not have a great sexual relationship.
Reasons for inadequate sexual relationships include cultural norms which dictate that women do not express their sexual needs, and are not encouraged to experiment sexually with their partner.
This has created a pattern where men and women look for sexual satisfaction and adventure outside their committed relationships, thereby increasing the trend to have multiple concurrent partnerships. There is therefore a need for an educational tool to assist sexually active adults in Southern Africa to build long-lasting relationships with one sexual partner.
To respond to this, Soul City has published Soul Sex, a 44-page illustrated guide. The booklet offers couples useful information on turning their sex lives into a wonderful part of their relationships.
