CommunityWe are all living with HIV and AIDS.  Some of us are HIV positive. Many of us know someone who has HIV.

Some of us have lost a friend, relative or colleague because of HIV and AIDS. We also know children who are orphans beause of HIV and AIDS.

That is why it is important for communities to work together to prevent new HIV infections.

Communities need to stand up and say that more than one sexual partner puts you and your loved ones at risk.  We need to support the OneLove campaign.

Take action

Support the OneLove campaign in your community

Couples, parents, young people, traditional leaders, religious leaders, teachers, political leaders, health and community workers can use this information alone or in group meetings.

You can also contact OneLove partners in your country to ask for more resources and to find out more about OneLove launch dates, materials or other campaign details.

Support people in your family and community who have HIV and  AIDS

Find out what you can do to help your friend or someone in your family that person is HIV positive. What can you do to help a neighbour who has AIDS? What can you do to help AIDS orphans in your community, especially those who live in child-headed households.

Talk about it

Share with us what your community is doing to encourage its members to have one sexual partner at a time. Write a short summary of your activities and email it to onelove@soulcity.org.za. OneLove will publish selected stories on the front page of the web site.
