What is the very first thing you would do if you found out that your partner was cheating on you?
Here are some of the things you can do if you found out that your partner was being unfaithful to you:
- Think hard about what his relationhip with someone means to you and your any children you may have. Do not keep the fact that you know to yourself.
- Talk about it with you partner about it to find some resolution as to why he did and if your relationship can still be saved.
- Protect yourself - Ask your partner to use a condom and get an HIV test.Partners must discuss their sexual health openly to avoid being infected with HIV.
- Talk to a friend or someone who you trust to provide you with moral support and advice. Do not feel ashamed.
- You can also ask your church pastor or marriage counsellor for advice.
- Help your partner to undertand that his relationship could bring HIV into your home, which will affect not only you and him, but also your children.

Hi Mabel
Chat to your health care professional about the test. He/she will provide you with counselling, which will help you to resolve the fears you may have about the test, or what you will learn from it ( i.e. your HIV status). There will be no pressure for you to test immediately. You will simply be accessing someone who you can bounce your issues and concerns on, and who can give you well-informed advice. This person will also walk you through teh actual testing process.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH 4 THE ADVICE. DAMARIA
