For many people marriage is a way for two people to tell the world, and one another, that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
Marriage lets you celebrate the fact that you and your partner found each other. It is also something that lets you create a family, not just for children, but with one another.
Before you marry your partner, it is a good idea to sit and talk about what both of you expect from the marriage.
Here are some of the issues you need to discuss before you get married:
-
Do we want the same things from marriage?
-
Do we both have the same ideas of why we want to get married?
-
Do we agree on big things like whether we want to have children or where we want to live?
-
Can we talk about our problems?
-
Do we share the same views of being faithful in our relationship?
Thinking about answers to these questions will help you to understand your relationship better.
Remember: being married does not protect you from HIV. Both you and your partner need to be tested for HIV before you get married, and to stay protected you should only have each other as sexual partners.

They are good pointers. What must be emphasized is that each marriage has its own dynamics and so it is(or will be) as the two partners make it to be. Effective communication is key so that the responses to the questions are honest, then all will be well. My philosophy is” happy wife happy life.”
There are 2 EXTREMELY IMPORTANT things men need to be aware of before he is ready to get married.
He needs to know WHO HE REALLY IS. And he needs to know what attracts women, and how to keep the attraction going for YEARS.
Without those two things, a successful marriage is going to be TOUGH. I talk more about issues like this on blog.
Good article though, people really do need to answer these questions before deciding to get married.
